Vienna budget would cut taxes, increase pay

Vienna has released its $32.3 million budget proposal for next year that would lower real estate taxes and give county employees an increase in pay, the Washington Examiner reported.The town's top administrator recommended a 0.52 cent real estate tax decrease that would lower the tax rate to 23.69 cents. The decrease would be offset by increased assessments, however, which would hike the average homeowner's tax bill by $57.
